Find a game.

Meet your people.

Ringers is where Sydney organises its social calendar - five-a-side to poker night, running club to book club. Backed by Squads and reliability ratings, so it actually happens.

The People Ringers

Ringers isn't just a scheduling tool - it's who you meet using it.

It's the people who keep you coming back - the ones you follow, the feed you check, the shot you took afterwards.

Follow

Follow the Ringers you clicked with, and know when they're next on. It's also how your Ringers list builds - trusted names you can call on to fill a gap.

Chat

Every event and Squad has its own chat - no separate group thread to dig through for the details.

The feed

Suggested events, tailored to you - plus a home feed of what your fellow Ringers are up to.

RingerCam

Capture the moment with our signature RingerCam - front and back camera in one shot, during or after the event.

03

Squads

Most sports apps stop at the fixture. Ringers keeps going - a Squad is a private, permanent home for the crew you regularly play with, not just a one-off event that disappears after full time.

Organise

Every fixture, one place

Every fixture lives in one place - not buried halfway up a group chat.

Fill the gaps

See who's in, fast

See who's confirmed at a glance, then fill the gap from your own Ringers list - or open it to the public.

For the fun of it

Squad Centre

Season stats, leaderboards and Ringer of the Match voting - bragging rights, built in.

04

Reliability ratings

The thing a group chat can't do: prove people actually turn up - hosts included.

Reputation here isn't a claim, it's a record. Every rating comes from a real review on:

  • Do they show up?
  • Are they a reliable host?

Hosting? Check it before you approve anyone. Joining? Check it before you show up.

How Ringers Compares

Group chats can't remember who's reliable. Other sports matching apps don't have a Squad, the permanent home for your regular crew, or a Ringers list, your own roster of trusted people to fill a gap. Here's what changes when it's all in one place.

Group chat and sports-matching-app comparisons reflect commonly available features as a category, not any single named product.

“Ringers started as a fix for our own problem. We'd spent years playing casual sport leagues, and it was always the same story - scrambling to find numbers when a game was short, or missing out on stuff nearby because we didn't know they were happening.

The more we looked at it, the real issue wasn't finding players or finding a game - every casual team and club was trying to run itself through a group chat that was never built for the job. So we set out to build something that actually was, with a bit of fun built in.”

Frequently asked

What is Ringers?

Ringers is a sports and social events platform. Discover pickup games and local events, host your own, chat with other Ringers, and build a reliability rating that shows you're someone people can count on.

Is Ringers just for sport?

No. Most events are sport, but Ringers covers 57 sports and activities in total, including poker, chess, board games, book club and trivia night. If it's a recurring get-together with a headcount, it fits.

How do I join an event?

Open an event from the Events tab or the map and tap "Join" or "Request to join" - some events confirm you straight away, others need the host to approve you first. Either way, you'll see your status update once you're in.

How do I host an event?

Tap the + button on the Events tab. Pick a sport or activity, set the time, location and Ringer capacity, and choose whether people join straight away or need your approval first, then publish. If approval's on, you approve or decline requests from the event page.

What are Squads?

A Squad is a private home for the same crew you play with regularly - a five-a-side team, a weekly running group, and so on. Every Squad gets its own group chat, and its own events that members see and join first.

Open a Squad's chat and switch to "Squad Centre" to see its season record, top-scorer/assist/card leaderboards, match reports, and Ringer of the Match voting after each game.

What's my Ringers list?

Your own personal, per-sport list of people you trust to fill in when your Squad is short - you can only add someone you already follow. If a Squad event you're hosting is short, you can invite specific people from your own list to that event, by name.

What are reliability ratings?

After every event, the host does a quick check-in on who actually showed up, building each guest's attendance reliability rating. Participants can do the same for the host, building a host reliability rating that shows who reliably runs the events they post. Both are built from what really happened, not a star rating anyone can leave at any time.

Is Ringers free?

Yes, Ringers is free to use. Some events may have a cost set by their host (for example, to split a pitch fee) - that's always shown on the event before you join, and payment happens securely in the app itself, not cash on the day.
